Maybe there are lots of us trying to decide our identities - even our actual locations? - as urbanites or rural folk. I have always felt caught between these two identities. Both parts of who I am. The Country Mom loves to be out hiking and is currently learning how to sew. (Coming soon - pictures of the first romper, Simplicity Pattern 2905.) My spouse and I have been dreaming about relocating. I've found lots of other city moms out there wishing they were country moms. Are you one of them? Where do you live and where do you think it would be fun to live? I live in Dallas and think, today, it would be fun to live in Buena Vista, CO and we could go for a cool hike in the mountains. The City Mom will instead settle for a fun afternoon swim at the local Y with friends. And I'm going to get tickets for the opera so we can go to the super cool-looking new opera house opening this Fall. Has anyone been there yet? Also, trying to figure out how to enjoy city stuff such as the science museum without getting sick. At our visit two weeks ago, we all (and two of our babysitters) came down with nasty colds. Do I take a can of Lysol and spray down the mats before setting down the baby to crawl? Would that be...a little hyper-weird?

Hello I'm following you from MBC! I know what you mean, my hubby is always wanting to move. We would love to live in TN, but all of our family is here, so here we stay. However, we are country folk here! :) :)
